By now I’m sure you’re very aware that social media marketing is a must for any artist.  What you might not know though is that:

Even though it’s online, it’s still all about building relationships.  Add a splash of your personality into what you’re writing; this way your audience will start to develop a personal connection with you as well as discovering that you know your stuff!

 

#3) Read Your Comments

Comments are important, so pay attention to what your audience is saying to the content you are posting.  Sure, some may be silly and have nothing to do with your business, but your fans (a.k.a. target audience) are down there in that deep dark abyss trying to reach out to you and form a connection.  Dive deep into it and engage with them!  You will discover that it’s worth it all to keep your fans happy.

Plus, through these online comments and responses, you’ll surely discover a little more about what they are interested in, which could lead to new products or service development down the road.

 

#4) Keep Improving

Continual improvement is a goal most of us have in our personal lives, but it’s also important for us to maintain the same goal in our professional life, for both yourself and your business.  To keep yourself in check, it’s important to keep track of where your weak points are just as much as your strong points. 

Check in on your LinkedIn account at least three times a week, if not daily, to make sure everything is in order and to see what your audience is saying and responding to.  It might be a good idea to keep a notebook to help you keep track of what your audience likes. But don’t limit yourself to those, feel free to throw out some of those awesome ideas you have, you never know what will hit!

 

#5-Make Yourself Rememberable

With all the noise online, you want to make an impression and stand out from the others.  Discover what it is that makes you, your services and company different from everyone else.  Create a story around it and spread the word! 

It’s important to make yourself known for something specific so that your audience can tell others about and remember who you are. Make a trademark for yourself and an attitude to go with your product.
